Dear Atlantis

As I told you I just had a few days to go on my present job. Yesterday was my last day. Now I have a little time for myself before I start all fresh at the new job.

I had to finish so much things the last days, so much I had to hand over to others. Although I’m glad to start something new, it’s also difficult to finish things, and leave them to others. In spite of those things my last day was very special.

Just another picture from holiday...

In the afternoon my colleges had organised a little ‘goodbye party’. It was nice to feel they weren’t all glad that I was going away. Afterwards I stayed late, because I can’t stand the feeling that I leave my work unfinished. I was the last person to leave the building, I thought. The doorkeeper was informed that I was still working. Then at about 10 p.m. one of my colleges entered the office. I was sitting at my desk. He walked to me and put his arms around my shoulders, while he was standing at the back of me. “I’m coming to say goodbye, I’m going to miss you.”I was pleasantly surprised. The two of us always had a lot of fun, working together. Sometimes I had the idea it made others a bit jealous. He had brought a bottle of wine with him. I finished my work. What a relief, what a good feeling it was, now everything was ready.

We drank a glass of wine together on the future, and on the good old times we had together. It was a special feeling, the two of us all alone in a big building, saying goodbye… So after we finished our wine, we walked to the elevator. While we where waiting he held me close to his body and kissed me. ‘A goodbye kiss’, he said. It started as a sweet kiss, just on my lips, but the next one was a French kiss. The elevator arrived, and we got in. When the door closed we felled the tense between us, and kissed more and more. The elevator is made of tinted glass, but I didn’t care about that. I was leaving anyway. I guess that that, together with the wine made me a bit reckless. A heavy storm broke in the elevator while we where going down. I felt his hands ....

To be continued…
